World Rotary Day #WRD Event

Rotary eClub One will host a World Rotary Day (#WRD) event on Saturday, 23 February 2019. We will organize and bring together Rotarians worldwide, along with their families, friends and non-Rotarians, to celebrate the Rotary's global contributions.Our Club will dedicate and execute community and international service projects throughout the world on Saturday, February 23, 2019. We have listed below the projects we have already commissioned for this global celebration. We will also commemorate the event by publishing photos of members wearing our special World Rotary Day t- shirts.
We invite Rotary clubs worldwide to join with us in this celebration by doing the same. Clubs and Rotarians in Europe, Africa, Asia, and North America have already stepped forward to participate.
WAYS TO PARTICIPATE
The ideal way to participate in our #WRD celebration is to dedicate a service project and wear the t-shirt. The service project does not necessarily have to occur precisely on that weekend, as long as it is done in the spirit of Rotary!
There are myriad other way to celebrate with us as well. For Rotarians who cannot serve at that time, we invite them – and their families and friends – to don the #WRD t-shirt and submit photos to our club. Some of our own members will celebrate by simply going to lunch or walking through the park with family or friends while wearing the WRD T- shirt.
Posting the photos on your club's website and social media platforms is a fantastic way to publicize your own service projects, while joining together with clubs throughout the world. We encourage Rotarians around the world to have a great time and celebrate World Rotary Day by participating in whatever manner they may choose.

REGISTRATION T-SHIRTS & DONATIONS
Rotary eClub One will provide free #WRD T-Shirts to all registered participants. However, we do ask that they contribute $25 USD per shirt to cover our costs and support the RI Polio Fund. Fifty percent (50%) of all funds raised from t-shirt donations will be donated to The Rotary Foundation - Polio Fund. And, of course, you are welcome to contribute more ... 100% of each additional dollar will go to directly to the Polio Fund and our international service projects!

ABOUT US
Rotary eClub One is a global, internet-based club with roughly 80 members on virtually every continent. We were the first eClub in the world, chartered in District 5450 Colorado. Most of our members are veteran Rotarians with many years of prior service.
