Rotary Peak is now officially listed on Google Maps!

This has been a long time coming, and we are thrilled to see this meaningful piece of District 5450 history recognized and discoverable to all. To help ensure Rotary Peak remains verified and visible, we’re asking Rotarians who have hiked it—whether this year or years ago—to share their experiences on Google Maps.
How You Can Help:

1. Post Photos: If you have images—from summit signs to group shots to trail vistas—adding them helps Google understand that this is a real and valued place.

  • Open Google Maps
  • Search for “Rotary Peak” (you’ll see it in the Indian Peaks Wilderness area)
  • Tap the location → scroll to “Photos” then click on “Add Photos”
  • Upload your hike photos

2. Write a Short Review: Even a sentence or two makes a difference.

  • On the same listing, tap “Reviews” → “Write a review”
  • Share when you hiked it, how the day felt, who you were with, or why Rotary Peak is meaningful to you

Why This Matters: Places remain active and visible in Google Maps when people show engagement. Your contributions help preserve Rotary Peak’s story, support future hikers in finding it, and keep Rotary’s legacy of service and outdoor stewardship alive.

Thank you for helping ensure Rotary Peak continues to be recognized and enjoyed for generations of Rotarians to come!
