Amina Ali is from a small village in Yumbe, Uganda, burdened by the struggle to provide clean water for her family. Every day, she walks four hours to a water hole, returning with contaminated water that leads to recurring bouts of malaria and diarrhea, including cholera, typhoid, and Ebola. Like many of her neighbors, she earns less than $3 a day, often spending a large chunk of it on treating these illnesses. Frustrated by health and poverty issues, she desires a better future for her children, one where basic necessities are not a privilege but a right.
