LEARN ABOUT THE FIRST ROTARY ECLUB – ECLUB ONE
The concept of Rotary eClub One was developed by a design committee from D5450, commencing work in March 2001 under the leadership of John Minter, D5450 Governor's Representative and a member of the sponsoring Rotary Club of Boulder, Colorado. The Board of Rotary International approved the world's first provisional Rotary E-club (Rotary eClub One) in 2001 with John Minter as its Charter President.
On January 18, 2002, Bhichai Rattakul, Rotary International President 2002-2003, attended a Quad-District Rotary Foundation dinner in Denver Colorado where Rotary eClub One was presented with its Charter Certificate, dated January 4, 2002.
Rotary eClub One is a true worldwide Rotary Club:
- The Club accepts members from any country in the world. Our members come from over 14 countries.
- The Club is open to anyone who wants to join Rotary or transfer from another Rotary club.
- The Club language is English.
- The meetings are held online.
- Our Club was the very first eClub within Rotary International, established in 2002.
- Club members pay quarterly dues and are asked to donate/support the Rotary Foundation annually.
- Club members are required to do service, and report service hours.

Rotarians from any Rotary Club in the world are welcome to make-up for missed meetings at their own club by completing a make-up meeting with Rotary eClub One. Rotary eClub One extends its thanks to all Rotarians who complete their make-up meetings with our Club. Because Rotary eClub One is an internet-based club, funds generated are the main fundraising source to support Rotary eClub One’s service projects, which occur around the globe.
