HIGHLANDS RANCH APPEAL FOR DISASTER RELIEF DONATIONS
We are all aware of Hurricane Melissa’s impact on Jamaica. Since we have been sending transportable solar chargers for cell phones and tablets to Ukraine for the past year, we have become well acquainted with the technology and have thoroughly tested our solution.
We are initiating a Disaster Relief initiative to send pocket-sized cell phone chargers (charging up to 3 devices concurrently) that also include a flashlight and a solar rechargeable battery. These solar devices are called Chandler Chargers and come in cases of 25. A case of Chandler Chargers costs $1,000, including shipping. The cases will be shipped to a Rotary club in Jamaica for distribution to displaced Jamaicans and first responders so they can: a) communicate with each other, b) find missing individuals, c) find shelters, d) receive texts, and e) find food/water when their cell phones run out of power. The charger looks like this:
