Get Your Club Event Noticed
SEE WHAT'S HAPPENING AROUND DISTRICT 5450 -
HOW TO GET YOUR CLUB EVENT NOTICED!
Visit Club Events to discover service projects, fundraisers and other activities happening throughout our District — and find opportunities to participate beyond your own club.
This District 5450 online resource where clubs can promote activities and events when they are seeking volunteers, participants or support exists. But are we using it to its full potential? Probably not. We want to encourage all Rotarians to regularly see what is happening throughout our District.
There is another important audience as well: prospective members.
People considering Rotary often want to know, “What does Rotary actually do?” A vibrant calendar filled with meaningful service opportunities provides a compelling answer. It showcases Rotary in action and gives prospective members an opportunity to experience Rotary service firsthand.
Help us make the District Club Events page a valuable resource.
When your club has an activity, service project or fundraiser that welcomes participation from others, email office@rotary5450.org:
Submit it early. Ideally, send your information approximately five weeks before the event. This allows time for the event to be posted and gives you approximately four weeks to promote it.
Include a clear call to action. Are you looking for volunteers? Attendees? Donations? Community participation? Make it immediately clear how someone can help.
Provide the essentials. Include what, when, where and how to participate or register.
Make it easy to learn more. Whenever possible, provide a flyer or a link to your club's webpage with additional information.
