At the January 2009 Rotary International Assembly in San Diego, CA Bill Gates announced an additional $255,000,000 gift to the Rotary Foundation to fight for Polio Eradication and the Foundation agreed to ask Rotarians around the world to raise an additional $100,000,000.

International H2O Collaboration Announced

We are pleased to announce the official launch of the International H2O Collaboration. The International H2O Collaboration is a new worldwide alliance of Rotary International/The Rotary Foundation and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The alliance is dedicated to implementing long-term, sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene projects in the developing world.

Remember: District Simplified Grant projects must:
1) Begin and end in this Rotary year
2) Be a NEW project for your club. We cannot fund an ongoing project and/or a project that your club has done before
3) Must include significant “hands-on” Rotarian involvement
