H. Michael Hayes (Mike) of Westminster, a retired University of Colorado at Denver professor and former General Electric manager, died February 4, 2014. He was 87 years old.
Mike was born March 11, 1926, in Los Angeles. On August 3, 1946, he married Neola J. Becker, with whom he shared life for 52 years. She preceded him in death on May 1, 2000. He was also preceded in death by his son, Stephen E. Hayes, and granddaughter, Alison L. Hayes.
The Aurora Fitzsimons Rotary club is hosting a GET-TOGETHER for Rotarians, researchers, and others who work in developing countries.

September 2013 is normally when the Rotary Club of Mead has their annual Sugarbeet Festival. This past year, however, due to the devastating flooding they cancelled the event and turned their attention to helping local communities.
One by one,the Sugarbeet Festival sponsors were contacted and authorized the club to keep the Sugarbeet Festival sponsorship money and use it to help local victims.
